To meet customers' needs for short-to-medium distance detection, ERDI TECH LTD offers 905nm diode laser rangefinders, supporting distance measurement from 5m to 4km. With a mature supply chain and cost-effectiveness, our 905nm rangefinders are widely used in LiDAR, laser distance meters, industrial sensing, medical devices, and consumer electronics.
1. Definition
The 905nm laser is a GaAs-based semiconductor laser emitting near-infrared (NIR) light at 905nm. Though invisible, this wavelength is efficiently detected by silicon-based sensors (CMOS/APD) and exhibits low atmospheric attenuation. Compared to 1064nm lasers, 905nm lasers offer higher eye safety compliance with IEC 60825 standards.
2. Technical Features
Mature Technology & Cost-Effectiveness
Built on GaAs materials and mature semiconductor processes (EEL/VCSEL), the module integrates seamlessly with silicon-based detectors (no expensive InGaAs components needed). This ensures high cost-efficiency and mass-production capability.
High Integration & Environmental Adaptability
The compact, low-power design enables easy integration into systems and handheld devices, even in extreme environments. For example, ERDI’s LRF1200A measures 25×26×13mm, weighs 10g, and operates at -40~+60℃, suitable for automotive LiDAR and smartphone ToF lenses.
Short-Distance High-Precision Ranging
Different models cover 5m to 4000m measurement ranges. The LRF4000A, a highly integrated module with optimized optical lenses, achieves precise 4000m ranging and supports DIY laser ranging projects.
